Drafted into the U.S. Army in January of 1966 lead me down the unlikely path into the "Garry Owen Pipes and Drums".    This was a regimental band belonging to the 3rd Squadron/7th Cavalry.    Heard of General Custer?    Yep, his unit.    Below you may click on my bag piping escapades  and pictures in the various categories listed.  I am for hire and would gladly accept an email with any questions you may have.

Rates:

Depending on your particular needs and desires you may wish to have me play at different times for you, just remember there is no right or wrong way to include music into your event. 

For Weddings I have played just for atmosphere before the ceremony, played the processional and/or recessional, added special music during the service dedicated to those who were unable to attend and played the bride and groom into the reception after they were announced. 

For Memorial services I have escorted the departed to the gravesite and played as the guests leave.  I have also played Amazing Grace during Military Funerals as the Flag is being folded.

 So you can see that there are many ways in which to incorporate bagpipe music into your ceremony.  Have as little or as much music as you like.  To give you an idea of what my services cost, below are some basic rates.  I will be happy to work with you to tailor my rates with your needs.

 Weddings:

Basic Service…………………………..$200.00

Includes:    Processional    Recessional    Ten minutes of pre-wedding music

 Additional Charges:

Mileage Outside 50 mile Radius………Negotiated

Play at Reception………………………$ 25.00

Learn Special Music……..…………$ 25.00

Provided music can be played in E flat, in one octave, and, given a minimum of three weeks to memorize and possibly compose.

 Funerals and Memorial Services:

Basic Service………………………….$200.00    

Additional Charges:    Mileage Outside 50 mile Radius……….Negotiated

Other Occasions:

Other occasions can range from birthday parties, golf outings, high school and college graduations and conventions.  I can also give a twenty-minute talk with musical interludes for lunch or dinner meetings that need entertainment.  (See my “What I’ve Done” link)
