As if I didn't have enough to do I've managed to dabble in the realm of writing. (I'm a member of the Toastmasters International which allows me to diplomatically "force" my material on unsuspecting listeners!) Here are some titles of my work both published and unpublished.
"Fowl Play" - Written June of 1983, unpublished. A true story of an encounter with a pigeon named "Stumpy" and our sharing of life through motorcycling and flight.
"Work Orders, Just The Help You've Been Looking For." - Published in the October 1983 issue of "Small Systems World", a nationally published computer magazine. An article explaining a software product I wrote to control programming support through work order tracking. This pertained primarily to IBM System/36 computers.
"Goodbye Julie, Welcome Home Greg" - Published in the May 1985 issue of "Small Systems World", a nationally published computer magazine. This article explained my use for building a Julian/Gregorian date table to drive scheduled jobs for the IBM System/36 computer system.
"Insight To An Old Athlete" - Published in the June 6, 1985 issue of the Oconee County Enterprise Newspaper. A confession of a 40 year old (me) softball player and why I continue to pursue the game.
"The Highland Games; You Had To Be There!" - Published in the January 6, 1986 issue of the Oconee County Enterprise Newspaper. This was an assignment from the local paper to cover the 13th Annual Stone Mountain Highland Games. Since I'm a bagpiper myself I was able to give an inside look to the games and Tattoo performance.
